I know there are some smart folks that flit through here so I thought I'd just share with you the announcement that pub quiz is starting up at The Landmark restaurant tonight at 7:30 pm.

Here is the pertinent info:

Location: The Landmark 644 E. Olive in the Tower District
Time: Registration starts at 7:30, quizzing starts at 8 (hopefully)
Teams: $5 per person; 1-6 people per team

This is the first event and we're hoping to do this every Wednesday night at the same time. It's open to anyone who loves trivia, current events, food, and alcohol.

This is a great event. However, last week our team (with at least two skeptics ) tied for first and during the tiebreaker we actually were the closest to the correct answer. The officials confused the longest punt in NFL history with the longest punt in Super Bowl history. A fact we could not prove until later.

Still a good event with lots of great people. Kudos to the Landmark.

I'm pretty sure the question was, "What is the longest punt in NFL history?" Which is 98 yards.

I'm not sure, but it's cool--great either way. We had our revenge Wednesday --I wasn't there, guess that's why they won LOL.
