 Nothing special
I was a fundy Christian until college; though I was the hellraiser kid in youth group that asked the hard questions and brought the cyncism.
I attended a Christian university of the same denomination I grew up in, took Bible courses, and interacted with people who shared my "faith." A family issue involving my childhood church and personally delving into my faith led to a de-conversion. Let's just say that I grew tired of the hypocrisy, the insular bubble, and in the simplest terms (terms I've heard others use) Christianity wasn't working for me. I came to Pascal's Wager from the opposite side. I saw that the only thing I was clinging to was the safety net of belief. I didn't want to go to hell.
It was a short leap from not wanting to go to hell to realizing if that was all I was believing, then Christianity couldn't possibly be the right religion since there are millions upon millions of people around the world doing the same thing with different religions. Done and done.
