Post Readability
Maybe it's just my imagination, or I'm getting old, or something, but it sure seems to me like the color setting for link text on this site is harder to read than it used to be. Gray text on a lighter gray background is not especially easy to see.

To the person who is in charge of that kind of thing: would it be possible to use a darker shade for links? Thanks.

Also, I don't know if this is fixable, but there appears to be a bug in how threads with new posts are highlighted orange. If I write a new post and submit it, then click the "Rational Valley" graphic to get back to the main page, then the thread where I just posted will remain highlighted orange (apparently because of my post) until somebody else posts and I read that one. But if I click the "Board index" link, the same thing does not happen (the thread title is gray after I post).

I also have been having issues with the orange highlighting for posts that I've read that will not revert to the gray font color.

I don't know what others think, but for the most part, I would say that switching to light green is no improvement over light gray, and may even be harder to read than the gray was.

Post Re: Readability
As the administrator, I definitely want to provide the best user experience possible. The main themes and styles are designed by others and are commonly used throughout the phpBB community, so I trust the site appeals to some.

Using a tool, I've tried to match the colors to our logo and header image, however the colors of individual elements are not easily changed. If you want to experiment with the colors by following the previous link, you can send me the URL to your color-combination as a suggestion.

If you want to try a different style, go to the User Control Panel and under "Board preferences", change "My board style" to subsilver2. I will try to make available more styles so that everyone can find one they like.

Thanks for the tip. I find subsilver2 to be FAR more readable.
